TOPIC: FREQUENCY
ADVERBS
ADVERBIOS DE
FREQUENCIA
'to be' (va después).
I always go to church on Sundays.
I am always tired after work.
I am always tired after work.
Always – Siempre, es decir el 100% de las
veces.
Usually, normally, generally – Normalmente.
Often, frequently – A menudo. Más de la mitad
de las ocasiones.
Sometimes, occasionally – A veces.
Hardly ever, rarely, seldom – Casi nunca, raramente.
Never – Nunca.
EXAMPLES:
Alaska
is always cold (Siempre hace frío en Alaska)
Barcelona
is usually a sunny city (Normalmente
On Saturdays I often go to the mountain (Los sábados voy a menudo a la montaña).
I sometimes go to the beach on Fall. (
It hardly ever snows in Barcelona (Raramente nieva en Barcelona).
I never go to concerts. ( nunca voy a
conciertos).
I rarely go shopping – Voy
frase (Always
I’m tired es incorrecto).
To be: Después del verbo: You are always happy
Auxiliares: Después del verbo
auxiliar o modal: I
have always thought you were brothers
Resto
Sometimes I work from home. – A veces trabajo desde casa.

ZERO CONDITIONAL
Zero
conditional.
EXAMPLES: If you don't put sun cream on, you get burnt. (Si no te pones crema solar, te quemas.)
STRUCTURE:
ZERO CONDITIONAL
El Zero
conditional tiene la siguiente estructura:
IF + PRESENT SIMPLE, + PRESENT SIMPLE
If + sujeto + present
simple, sujeto + present simple
Condition Result
EXAMPLES:
If water reaches 100ºC, it boils.
Si el agua llega a 100ºC, hierve.
Water boils if it reaches 100ºC.
USES
ZERO CONDITIONAL
1.
El Zero conditional se utiliza para
expresar hechos que
siempre son verdaderos como,
por ejemplo, hechos científicos, leyes científicas, verdades generales.
EXAMPLE: You
get orange if you mix red and yellow.
(Obtienes naranja si mezclas rojo y amarillo)
2.
EXAMPLE: If
you feel sick, go to the doctor.
Si te encuentras mal, ve al médico.
Don't open the door if someone knocks.
No abras la puerta si alguien llama.
